GENERAL
-
Where are sessions held? Most of my classes and private training sessions take place in Central Massachusetts at Collinswood K9 Services and in the surrounding areas. I also teach in Eastern Massachusetts out of Dog Therapy and serve those nearby towns. Depending on your goals, we can work together in your home, at a local park, at one of the training facilities, or even virtually wherever you are.
-
What types of training methods do you use?I use balanced training methods grounded in the latest scientific research, years of hands-on mentorship with master behaviorists, and a lifetime of experience working with many species. I prioritize positive reinforcement to nurture your relationship and build motivation, trust, and long-lasting behavior change. At the same time, I believe in clear boundaries and recognize that some behaviors require dogs to experience natural consequences. Every training plan is tailored to your dog and your comfort level, and I will never ask you to do something that feels wrong to you. My goal is always a safe, respectful, and effective learning environment where both you and your dog can thrive.
-
What kinds of dogs do you work with?Yes :) I work with puppies, adolescents, adults, and seniors—from giant mastiffs to tiny companions, rescues to conformation champions. Whether you and your dog are just getting started or want to address a lingering behavior challenge, I’m here to help. I particularly specialize in reactive dogs, family dogs, dogs who adventure in the world, and ESA/skilled companion work.
-
